Gardner Flagstaff Christmas Trip

While I didn't get any pictures of the fun we had at the cabin we stayed in, the Gardner Christmas trip was super memorable, like always.

The cabin (more like a vacation home) is on a country club and we are always able to find great places for sledding, which is what ALL the photos will be of this year.

In addition to sledding, we had great food, a really fun team New Years Eve game night and lots and lots of playtime with cousins for the boys.
We always have so much fun!

Unfortunately Jeff got really sick this year and was, therefore, made designated picture taker.
He did a great job!

Christmas 2012

Each year, we seem to have a theme for the gifts the boys ask for.
This year was Pokemon.
(sigh)

Here they are after the Christmas story, finding out which wrapping paper was theirs.

And even though they received lots of Pokemon gifts...

I was happy to find out they were still excited about the other items as well.

Like popcorn,

bubble gum,

fruit snacks,

and pants.

Here is Griffin reading the note left by Santa, letting them know there was one more gift waiting for them out back.

A TRAMPOLINE!!!!!!

 FINALLY!!!

This has been the gift that keeps on giving.
Many, many, many hours of loud, crazy boy time has been spent out back and that made it the best Christmas yet for this couple!!

Flagstaff Day Trip

Also in October of last year, we wanted to go up north and see the beautiful changing colors that Autumn brings.

We knew Flagstaff would not disappoint...
...but our timing was not ideal.

Most of the beautiful reds and oranges were gone and all that was left were some beautiful yellows,
most of which were on the ground.

But we still had fun and found lots to explore and entertain.
With the leaves that were left to drop, we made a game out of trying to catch one in flight.
Harder than you might think!

The boys loved hiking around the forest, climbing up and over everything in sight.

We decided to visit Snowbowl as well and ride the lift to the top.
And yes, it was pretty nippy!

Proof of nippy-ness.... already snow on the ground!!

There wasn't much to explore at the top so we didn't stay too long.
Long enough to take some great posed photos though.
Not exactly sure what these poses are by Griffin and Kai??

But I should have known that Trey would copy both, thinking he was funny.

Flagstaff really is a beautiful place.  I would never want to live there again, but visit?....Sure thing!
