TIE - DYED

I'm always fond of new ideas for dying Easter eggs, so when I came across this one, there was no turning back. It took a few tries to get the best result possible, but I was happy with most of them.
I found the idea here and here.

You take silk ties, wrap the raw egg pattern side IN, then boil and unveil.
Unbelievably easy and gorgeous!!

Sweet Carolyn, I just posted pics of my easter eggs on my blog and well, let's just say that I'm going to delete them...I just can't compete with the cuteness:)

One more thing, does it ruin the ties? Is Jeff going to be in church on Sunday with an egg shaped stain on his tie?

Wow-that is so cool...as long as it doesn't ruin the ties!

Those eggs are so cute. I'm bummed that we didn't color eggs this past year.

Okay, so now that there are two comments about "ruining the ties" -- I better tell everyone that I went out and bought thrift store 100% silk ties because, yes, the ties were cut and unwearable afterwards.

Real nice, where are the missionaries going to get their ties now? At least that used to be what the "cool" Elders did. Maybe I'm getting old.
